January 13, 2010 – Kinergetics is awarded contract to support the Idaho Office of Energy Resources

Kinergetics was awarded a contract to begin screening at food and dairy facility for application of a novel industrial waste heat pump that uses steam rather than electricity. Once suitable facilities have been selected, the Kinergetics Energy Mapping and Concept Validation™ process will be undertaken to ensure that the technology will work as intended once it is installed.

EMCV is a technique used by Kinergetics that involves a detailed look into how entire processes or unit operations actually function on a day to day basis.

January 1, 2010 – Kinergetics welcomes Doug Presny aboard!

Kinergetics is pleased to welcome Doug Presny as a Principal as of January 1. Doug has 22 years of experience, is a Wisconsin registered Professional Engineer and a Qualified Energy Expert with Steam and Pumping systems for the United States Department of Energy.

Mr. Presny is an enthusiastic energy efficiency advocate that has applied his technical skills to bring energy efficiency into his own life at home and on the road. For example, he designed and built a direct contact air conditioner for his home and a production process in his shop that converts waste oils into bio diesel for his 1974 Mercedes Benz.

Tom Tucker and Doug Presny have known each other both professionally and personally for nearly 10 years. They have proven to be an excellent team, applying their complimentary skills to uncover energy efficiency opportunities for industrial customers within Wisconsin to quickly bring viable energy and process efficiency improvement projects forward.

Aside from its growing energy efficiency consulting and design engineering business, Kinergetics is developing a number of energy efficiency software and process technologies. Among his other responsibilities, Doug will be helping to bring the best of these concepts to the forefront of Kinergetics' development efforts with field testing as appropriate.

December 15, 2009 – Tom Tucker continues supporting the Save Energy Now Program

Tom Tucker has been providing support for the Department of Energy (DOE) Save Energy Now program since its inception in 2006. Late in 2009, the DOE decided to improve the program to include help with detailed project evaluation and implementation based on feedback from industry. This included a reselection process to retain some of the most capable and experienced practitioners in the energy efficiency field.
